Access to a large digit display in order to set it up is quite often a problem. This is especially true if the display is high on a gantry crane for example. AIC has offered a hand held programmer with a 10m cable for some time and now has developed a wireless remote programmer with a range of approximately 30m. A receiver board is installed into the display, draws its power from the display and connects in parallel to the programming keys. A hand held transmitter allows the display to be programmed in safety from a distance.
The receiver boards can be configured with an individual address (up to 15 addresses are available) and a single transmitter can be set to address individual displays. This enhances the value of the system with only one transmitter being required, receivers being permanently installed in each display, and the ability to modify the programming of the displays without the danger of accessing the display to connect a cable etc.
The publications on AIC's website are all presented as ADOBE ACROBATTM .pdf files. A recent update to the method of preparing these files has meant that some visitors to the website have been unable to access the documentation.
The files now require ACROBAT READERTM version 6 or above to open correctly.
The latest level of ACROBAT READERTM can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/readstep.html
