New display for wind speed/direction

New display for PM4 ideal for wind speed/direction

Amalgamated Instrument Co Pty Ltd (AIC) has a new display available for its PM4 range of panel mount instruments.

The first configuration is designed for PM4 models used in wind speed/direction applications. The display can be installed on PM4 panel mount instruments with serial or analog output wind sensors attached

The display features a 16 position circular display for wind direction and a 5 digit numerical display for wind speed. The numerical display can be toggled to show wind direction at the push of a button.

Other models of the display without the compass markings are being released to provide flexibility in display for other applications. For example, the circular display would be ideal for voltage or current display or for angle of rotation display - valve position for example. The displays can be customised with engineering unit and scale values on the faceplate.

TITAN rain and flood detection systems

Rain and liquid detection systems by TITAN

AIC has the rain/precipitation and liquid/flood detection systems from TITAN Products Ltd (UK). The systems consist of a control module coupled with either a rain sensing head or a liquid/flood sensing head.

The rain sensing head includes a heater to minimise false readings from dew or fog and to return the detection to a "no rain" condition as soon as possible.

The liquid/flood detection head has two stainless steel probes to detect free water. The liquid/flood heads can be paralleled to provide coverage for a large area

The control module has two changeover relays to give an indication when rain or liquid is detected. A 10 second delay before triggering minimises the possibility of false alarms.
