Welcome to AIC's newsletter number 11.
Amalgamated Instrument Co Pty Ltd has several exciting developments to announce. We hope you like what you see!
Quite often we are presented with applications that are "out of the ordinary" but seem to crop up time-after-time. If you are doing something special with our products, please let us know. We would like to publish your experiences (with your permission of course). We have had one issue of the newsletter with customer applications and would like to have more. We look forward to hearing from you.

Amalgamated Instrument Co Pty Ltd (AIC) has made some changes to its proven HH4-WT hand held weight/force/pressure meter.
The most significant change is the standardisation of the the display to 4.5 digits. This gives a display range of -19999 to 19999. The standard display is also larger than the older models. The digits are 11.7 mm high instead of 10.7 mm.
The 4.5 digit model will be the only model available. The Order Code will be HH4-WT-5C.
AIC has developed an new bargraph display for the PM4 range of instruments.
The new display (with the display code of "-5BP") has a 20 segment bargraph plus a 5 digit numerical display plus 4 programming keypads plus 4 alarm annunciators.
The display replaces both the older "-BG" and "-BP" displays.
The "-5BP" will be the only bargraph available for the PM4 range of instrumentation.
The bargraph display and the numerical display can be independantly scaled. This is very useful when an application needs to show an actual value but also present a visual indication of level or contents etc. The numerical display can be scaled to show the actual litres in a tank and the bargraph can be scaled to show the percentage remaining for example.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a small repeater instrument that let you know what was occurring in your operation without the expense, hassle and time involved in a PLC or PC? Now you can.
The PM4-RS panel mount monitor and the RM4-RS DIN rail mount monitor have been enhanced to allow them to be used in many different display modes. The instruments can be programmed to operate in the following modes.
Setpoint/alarm relays in the PM4 or RM4 monitors can be set against the input channels. This allows alarms to be raised in a control room, for example, as well as at the source.
These enhancements give a lot more control and information than mere repeater or mimic displays and will find wide spread use in situations where critical parameters need to be monitored and critical situations alerted remotely.
Amalgamated Instrument Co Pty Ltd now represents TITAN Products Ltd of the United Kingdom in Australia and New Zealand.
TITAN Products makes a range of sensors and transmitters for a wide range of environmental monitoring applications including HVAC. Datasheets and other information can be found on AIC's website (http://www.aicpl.com.au).
We are very pleased to be associated with TITAN and look forward to bringing their products to our market.
