Please do our survey

As we move into the year we would also like to, again, encourage you to please take the time to complete our very short quality survey. The survey is designed to gather feedback about various aspects of AIC products and services. From the feedback we will seek to improve areas of our operations that you, our customers, feel could be improved.
We will respond to comments and may ask you to elaborate on areas where you feel we have room for improvement.

Door closure force testing kit

Door closure force measuring kit

Amalgamated Instrument Co Pty Ltd (AIC) has developed a kit to measure the closing force of automatic doors.

The kit was developed in conjunction with the New South Wales (Australia) Roads & Traffic Authority. The RTA wanted a system to check the compliance of automatic doors on buses and coaches with the their Technical Specification Number 146. This specification calls for the closing force of the door to be measured with a 35 mm opening and with a 200 mm opening. The sensor provides a measurement to 500 Newtons.

The kit consists of AIC's proven HH4-WT hand held meter with the specially designed hand held sensor. AIC can also supply a rugged fitted case to protect the kit.

Although the kit was originally developed with the particlar application in mind, it can be modified to meet the specifications required to test the closing force of a wide range of automatic doors, shutters etc. Please contact AIC to discuss your particular requirements.
